New Stuff!

Ok, so I’ve not been good about getting new information or pictures up but I’ve got a couple now! Both of these sets are the results from people who generously donated toward silent auctions to benefit the Relay For Life efforts earlier this summer. Thank you to both of these families who helped the Relay toward it’s goals in funds to the American Cancer Society! Larger sampling can be found on the main website and the Rice River Photography Facebook page!

New Look, part 2!

Just another very quick post.. It seems I have a habit of always ordering 2 versions of cards. Here’s the 2nd version on order, front and back! Now just to decide if I want linen paper or pearl…

New Look!

For anyone following, you might have noticed changes in appearence already. It just was feeling too “busy” to me, even though I liked the former appearences on the blog and website. It’s been simplified and a little color added. It’s also time to order new business cards as my boxes are getting low. Here’s a look at what’s on order!

PS I know I’ve promised some new pictures and I swear they’re coming soon! There’s a big project on my plate right now and you’ll see previews of that within the next day or two for sure!

Northern Summers

Just a quick personal post. We had a couple of warm days in the end of May. I sat out in our yard waiting patiently for the hummingbirds to get used to me sitting there so I could catch a few of them on camera. They get a bit too much sugar in the feeders around here so it doesn’t take long for them to get over my obtrusion as long as they get their fix! That evening the family went up to the lake for some swimming and a sort of picnic dinner. Was fun, but we’ve never been that unprepared/unorganized for dinner on a grill! At least we brought the actual food with. On the way home, we spotted some baby fox in the driveway of one of my grandparents neighbors place. They were so playful and cute! They didn’t stay long, but long enough for me to catch a couple of them.

Dancers and A Limited Discount

One of my good friends, Suzy, is a dance teacher for a studio here in Northern Minnesota. Late last month I was invited by her to attend their spring recital and took some pictures for her of her classes and of course the dances she was a part of too. Came home with 1200 shots or so. I think they were able to find a few they liked!

As part of the recent Rice River Photography push forward and make-over, I am offering a discount for the month of July. The first 5 sessions booked through the month will receive an additional 5% on their a-la-carte discount already included in each package. For example, senior sessions recive a 10% discount for orders over $50 for 60 days. If a Senior session is one of the first five sessions booked in July, their discount on their package will be 15% instead of 10%.

Watch for fireworks pictures soon! The 4th of July is coming up fast!

Beginning With Family

Yay! It’s been a long, long time coming but welcome to the Rice River Photography blog! This release comes with the overhaul of a (finally) ready website. If you’ve browsed the website, you’ll notice there are still a couple of galleries to be filled in. These will be completed in just a couple of days.

This blog will follow not only professional outings with the camera but also freelance and my home life as it makes frequent appearences around home. We begin though with a short family session. As former classmates, I’ve known this family for a long time and it’s always a pleasure to see them and was fun to capture their whole family. It was a first for me! Love you guys! And I’m coming up there to visit you soon!
